What customers say?

“ The place is great for kids. Expect a bit of messiness but it’s more like a very casual outdoor type of setting. But I liked it, and I liked the relaxed atmosphere with the greenery around. The food is ordinary and it is a self-service type of restaurant. ”

- Manal -

“ Amazing small space to have a snack or a hot cup of coffee, tea or chocolate (with marshmallows!) Totally unexpected at the location to be honest, but the couple running it did an amazing job. 5/5. ”

- Lasse -

“ One of the best place for kids in Hamburg Finally I can enjoy my food while the kids are playing The food is very good and the staff is super kind. After we were done, we made a walk on the forest one minute away and found an amazing hidden spielplatz ”

- Lamis Beirkdar -

“ A great little forest café tucked into the trees. The coffee is solid, the mezze is better than you'd expect, and there's a mini-golf course to keep the kids busy. The outdoor play area is a bit of a mess with almost too many toys thrown about but really that kind of suits the laid back vibe. If the kids enjoy it, who are we to criticize. It’s casual, relaxed, and the kind of place where kids can be loud and messy while you finish a cappuccino in peace. Will definitely be back. ”

“ Delicious food. Perfect service. Still an insider tipp. One of the best locations in Niendorf. ”

“ Great space to enjoy great oriental food and relax among the trees. There is an option to play minigolf and sit outside. All in all very friendly staff, splendid food and a calming experience. Great for families. ”

“ SAHA – The Forest Café in Hamburg • Syrian cuisine with heart in a green setting. SAHA is truly a very special place, nestled in nature, lovingly designed, and with an atmosphere that makes you feel instantly welcome. The outdoor seating area is beautifully done: wooden tables under trees, children's voices in the background, and a sense of community, almost like a mini-vacation right in the heart of Hamburg. The food? Fresh, Syrian, and absolutely delicious! You can taste the love that goes into cooking, whether it's the hummus, tabbouleh, or the perfectly fried halloumi like the one on my plate (see photo): everything is homemade and simply divine. Admittedly, it's not exactly cheap, and the portions could be a bit more generous for a main course, hence the one-star deduction in my overall rating. But the quality is excellent, and that makes up for a lot. Self-service works well, and the staff is friendly and organized. A little tip: The experience is somewhat weather-dependent (the trees provide good shelter), but it's definitely a dream on a sunny day! SAHA is highly recommended for families, friends, or simply for a relaxed solo lunch in nature. ”
